“The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the oppressed will be set free, and that the time of the Lord’s favour has come.” Luke 4:18-19 NLT
I’m just drawn to these words of Jesus again this morning that He spoke out from the Scriptures, announcing His mandate, telling those in hearing distance that He was fulfilling that very prophecy right there and then! Thank You Lord that we are still in that time of favour, the Good News that You brought still reaching those in need, still releasing the captives, still opening blind eyes, still setting the oppressed free! Thank You for making Yourself known, responding to the hungry and desperate who are turning to You. It’s amazing to hear how lives are changing, how You are mending broken hearts, and renewing hope. It’s great to hear how that’s happening in specific places around the world, but Jesus, we want to see it here! So Lord, start in me, hear my cry, stir my heart to pray and seek Your face, revive me to pursue Your Kingdom come, and to see Your will being done here, as it is in Heaven. Amen 🙌🏼❤️🙏🏼
