The night sky // 31-07-23

“When I look at the night sky and see the work of your fingers— the moon and the stars you set in place— what are mere mortals that you should think about them, human beings that you should care for them?” Psalms‬ ‭8‬:‭3‬-‭4‬ ‭NLT

‬‬If you live in a city you often can’t see much of the night sky due to what is called light pollution. The excessive and artificial light down here creates a type of smog so that we can’t see clearly the stars beyond. It doesn’t mean they are not there, we just don’t get to appreciate them like we could. It’s like that in so many ways when it comes to appreciating all that God has made. We are so surrounded and enamoured by the artificial and the superficial and it blinds us to the real thing. This polluted world often stops us from seeing that God is there beyond the issues of this life , and how much He actually cares about us. Lord, help me to look up today, to see beyond what is man made and temporary. Open my eyes to the wonders of Your creative power and love, and how much You care for me. Amen 👆🏼🌎❤️
