“So the priests blew the trumpets. As soon as the people heard it, they gave a loud shout, and the walls collapsed.” Joshua‬ ‭6‬:‭20‬ ‭GNT‬‬

The walls surrounding the city of Jericho were approximately 12 feet high and 6 feet wide at the base, impenetrable, immovable! In the account from Joshua, the people of God didn’t aim any weapons at those walls, it wasn’t their will power or human strength or wise strategies that saw those walls fall down, they just followed God’s instructions to walk around the wall once a day for six days, then on the seventh day to walk around it seven times, then at the sound of the trumpet to give a loud shout! That was it, it probably sounded crazy, and yet their obedience led to those walls collapsing! It was another lesson in trust, to work with God, doing things His way, and that’s when the miracle happened! Each one of us have walls in our lives that stand in the way of God’s plan for us, things we think are impossible to see change, and in our own strength and wisdom that’s probably true, but God says, ‘Trust me, listen for my voice, walk with me, work with me, give a shout of praise, and watch what only I can do!’ Lord, help me to be alert to Your leading, courageous in following even if I don’t understand Your plan, and may I see walls come down so that I can advance into all that You have promised. Amen 🙌🏼❤️
