This is the fourth ‘I am’ statement of Jesus. He’s not just any shepherd, He’s good – the best! He knows the greenest pastures, He leads, He comforts, He goes after the lost sheep, He’s present, He puts His own life on the line to ensure safe passage for the flock! This is what Jesus has done and does for us! He’s already lain down His life for our salvation, but death couldn’t hold Him and alive and present, He wants to lead us, if only we would heed His voice and follow. Yes there may be dark valleys and enemies to contend with, but with Him we have nothing to fear! Lord, I am so glad and thankful that You are my shepherd, that with You I lack nothing, that Your goodness and mercy follow me every single day, and I WILL dwell in Your house forever! Lead me today I pray. Amen 🐑🙏🏼
