“Jesus said to him, “I am the [only] Way [to God] and the [real] Truth and the [real] Life; no one comes to the Father but through Me.” John 14:6 AMP
When Jesus was tried before Pilate, He stated that He was born and came into the world to testify to the truth; that all those who love truth would recognise that what He says IS true! Pilate response was the same one we hear all over the place today, ‘What is truth?’ Truth has become such a moveable transient thing where there is no absolute truth anymore, just ‘my truth’ which can be different to ‘your truth.’ And yet, Jesus stated categorically that He was THE Truth! If something is true then it is true for everyone; exact; accurate, based on fact and reality! Lord, thank You for the certainty that you bring and give us as we search for truth. Thank You that what You say is true and can be trusted. Thank You for truth that sets me free as I get to know You. I pray today that as the good news of the gospel is proclaimed this week, that for all those who are searching for truth, there would be a recognition of truth, an acceptance of truth, and a turning to You Jesus, the real Truth.
