“I pray that the sharing of your faith may become effective and powerful because of your accurate knowledge of every good thing which is ours in Christ.” Philemon 1:6 AMP
When I was reading these words this morning, I was struck by the word ‘accurate.’ We can have knowledge of God, some ideas or thoughts that don’t necessarily change our lives much, when what we actually need, in order to be powerful and effective in our witness, is an accurate knowledge (one definition of accurate is: capable of or successful in reaching the intended target). Lord, give me an accurate knowledge of every good thing which is ours in Christ. May I know the riches of your love and grace, the power of the cross and the empty grave, the benefits of forgiveness, freedom, and the new life You have given me, in such an accurate way that it makes me capable and successful in reaching the intended target of other people seeing my faith in You and wanting to know more!
