When was the last time you made an appointment with God? When did you last have a real heart to heart with Jesus, not just thinking about Him but actually talking to Him and listening to Him? I love the sound of that invitation to come and talk WITH me! He does hear, He is merciful, and He will answer as we come to Him! Psalm 27 doesn’t shy away from highlighting troubles that we experience in life: enemies, oppressors, false accusers, abandonment from those who should love us the most, but there’s a recognition that God is different, my Light, my Salvation, my Shelter in the midst of trouble; that we can still have confidence in Him and not be overcome by fear! Lord, thank You that I can remain confident in this, that I will see Your goodness in the land of the living as I wait on You. Thank You that I can be strong and take heart as I wait for You. I hear Your invitation to come and talk with You and my heart responds I am coming. Amen 👆🏼🙏🏼❤️
