“Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.”Proverbs 3:5-6 NLT
The significant word there is ‘all’ both in terms of how much I trust God, and in how much I seek His will in the things I do. But what does giving my all and being wholehearted look like when it comes to Jesus being Lord of my life and the director of my life? It means praying about everything, communicating with Him every day and on every occasion, wanting what He wants and choosing to walk His way and to keep trusting in His plan even when I don’t understand where I am right now or what I’m going through. It means I don’t give up, it means I keep studying His Word, it means I keep my eyes on Jesus with an intent to be more like Him even when I see the waves and feel the wind of difficult circumstances that can distract and disturb me. It’s recognising that I am not God but Jesus is; that I am powerless but He is powerful; that my perspective is limited, but He sees the whole picture. Lord, help me to understand fully what it is for You to be Lord of my life. Help me this week to keep talking to You in the knowledge that I am walking with You, seeking Your will and trusting You with ALL my heart, with a real desire to see Your Kingdom come. Amen 👆🏼🙏🏼❤️
