Jesus said that in order to be fruitful we need to remain in Him, grafted to the vine! What I am connected to, listening to, influenced by the most, will have a direct bearing on the fruit that is produced in me. Go read the preceding verses in Galatians, there is always a battle within between what the sinful nature craves and what the Holy Spirit wants. Which am I going to allow to take the lead and define who I am and what I am known for? (We are known by the fruit we produce – what is that right now?) Which will dictate what I am grafted into and what I give my time to? The abundant life that Jesus said He had come to give us is characterized by this fruit! Lord, I want to be fruitful, Your very character produced in my life. So would You fill me and lead me today Holy Spirit, that Your fruit would abundantly be growing and evident in my life, increasingly loving, joyful, peace-filled, patient, kind, good, faithful, gentle and self-controlled! Jesus, I want to be more like You! Amen 👆🏼🙏🏼
