Five complete sentences in just two verses! After each full-stop we need to take note at what we’ve just read! This morning in our online prayer room Winston Churchill got mentioned so I looked up some of his famous quotes. This one stood out to me, ‘Success is not final, failure is not fatal, it is the courage to continue that counts.’ The Christian life is not easy, it takes courage, strength, persistent faith and an alertness to what’s happening spiritually around us to follow Jesus and to keep going, whether things are going well or not. Lord, help me today to be on guard, to guard my heart. Help me to stand firm in the hope and trust I have in You, and not be shaken by circumstances. Help me to be courageous when the way ahead looks uncertain and fearful. Help me to be strong in Your strength and wisdom. And help me to make love my highest goal, growing in my love for You and my love for others. Thank You for Your Word that keeps me on track and in the race. Amen 👆🏼🙏🏼❤️
