Wow, what a promise! No ifs, no buts, no hidden small print. The blood of Jesus really does cover every sin! As we come into agreement with God, as we confess to Him and trust in His saving grace, we go free! No deliberations, no majority jury verdict, God immediately declares us no longer guilty, for the price has already been paid on our behalf, we are free, our slate wiped clean! He forgives and He purifies. Let’s not take this grace for granted believing it doesn’t matter how we live because God will forgive us anyway. True confession, coming into agreement with how God sees things, means I’m now going to turn away from the sin I’ve confessed, pursue His way, and walk in His righteousness! Lord, thank You for another chance, help me to revel in the forgiveness and freedom that You paid such a high price for, and to appreciate this new life that You have so generously given me.
