“So don’t worry or be afraid of their threats. Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life.” 1 Peter 3:14-15 NLT
I was late to our online prayer room this morning and still half asleep but what I heard were these words, ‘Choose worship over worry!’ Someone else had a picture of a water skier. As I thought about it it struck me that the skill of the skier, if they are going to stay moving on the water, is in holding on tightly, maintaining their balance by always keeping one eye on the driver of the boat, trusting Him. Scary at times but exhilarating! Christ as Lord means He is in charge, He is in the driving seat, so our part is to keep looking to Him, to keep trusting Him, to keep holding on to His promises. Lord, I choose worship over worry today, believing that my life is in Your hands, that You are good, You do good, and You are working all things together for my good! Help me in the holding on, to find joy in the journey, to worship when I think I might go under, and to grow in confidence and faith as I stay right behind You, gliding across that water. Amen 👆🏼🙏🏼
