“The one who is the true light, who gives light to everyone, was coming into the world.” John 1:9 NLT
I know it’s still November, but lights and decorations are going up and in another week we’ll be heading into Advent, that time of getting ready for the arrival of Jesus, to remember the hope, peace, joy, and love that we can find in Him – the Light of the world!“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it.”John 1:5 NLT
Even though the world feels like a very dark place right now, spiritually speaking, it has not, cannot, and will not put out the light, because darkness is not an entity in and of itself, it can only exist where there is an absence of light, and Jesus, the Light of the world has come. He is here, so we don’t need to fear the darkness any more! In the words of an old song, Lord, the light of Your love is shining, in the midst of the darkness shining. Jesus, Light of the world shine upon us, set us free by the truth You now bring us. Shine on me, shine on me! Amen ☀️👆🏼🙏🏼
