We can do all manner of things to cover up our guilt, to try and anaesthetise it, bury it, ignore it, run from it, and yet it continues to taunt us and torment us and impact our lives in destructive ways, mentally, physically and spiritually. The only way to actually get rid of it is to confess it, to agree with how God already sees it. He is not shocked by anything we tell Him, He already knows everything, but when we turn to Him, agree that we need Him, trust Him, and come clean with Him, that’s when we can truly experience His forgiveness, know His cleansing, appreciate His removal of that guilt, and actually live in a new reality of freedom – all our guilt gone! Is that even possible? Yes it is because Jesus has already done everything needed to grant us that pardon, His perfect sacrificial death was enough to deal with all sin, past, present, and future, and His resurrection proves His awesome power over sin and death yesterday, today and forever! Lord, thank You for Your amazing grace, help me to stay in that place of agreement with You, remembering and repeating and walking in the freedom of that truth today, ‘All my guilt is gone!’ Amen 👆🏼❤️
