who am I? // 18-03-24

“Now go, for I am sending you to Pharaoh. You must lead my people Israel out of Egypt.” But Moses protested to God, “Who am I to appear before Pharaoh? Who am I to lead the people of Israel out of Egypt?” God answered, “I will be with you.” Exodus‬ ‭3‬:‭10‬-‭12‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Good morning all! It’s a new week with a new start, new grace, new opportunities! I’ve been drawn to this account of Moses at the burning bush a few times recently, and maybe it’s not just for me! This man who became one of the greatest leaders in the Bible, who believed and trusted God and led millions to freedom, and yet who initially thought that God had got the wrong person, ‘Who am I?’ He had disqualified himself due to his past history, his fears, and his perceived weakness! I’ve had similar arguments with Jesus over the years, and it always comes down to one thing, do I, and will I, trust Him? God always knows best right? And His response to Moses and to you and me is always this affirmation, this promise, and the thing that actually makes all the difference, “I will be with you!” Lord, thank You for Your presence with me, meaning that with You all things are possible. I choose to listen, trust, and follow today, with my eyes fixed on You. Amen 👆🏼🙏🏼🔥
