I often say that Christianity is about relationship not following rules and regulations, and that’s true on one level. If my faith is just a tick box exercise of trying to do the right things out of obligation rather than love, then that is just religion! But actually to love God is to obey Him, and He has given us regulations to follow, which are for our good. Because regulations aren’t bad, to regulate something is ‘…to control or maintain it in a way that causes it to function properly.’ This verse tells us that following God’s regulations revives us!! It’s never too late to get back on track, God’s mercy is new every morning, today is a new day, so put the mistakes and regrets of yesterday out of your mind, thank God for His grace, and for another chance to live well. Lord, teach me Your regulations, revive me, body, soul, and Spirit today, and lead me in the way everlasting! Amen 🙌🏼❤️
