“Because of God’s tender mercy, the morning light from heaven is about to break upon us, to give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, and to guide us to the path of peace.”Luke 1:78-79 NLT
This prophetic word spoken over John the Baptist as a baby describes the coming of Jesus, God’s amazing plan of salvation, demonstrating through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus His tender mercy (not giving to us what we actually deserve), dealing with the issue of sin on our behalf once and for all, breaking the power of death and enabling reconciliation, forgiveness and freedom. His grace (giving us what we really don’t deserve) restoring peace to our lives as we turn, trust and follow Him! Lord, thank You for the dawning of that day when light finally broke through the darkness and You were born into this world. Thank You that because of Your death on a cross I don’t have to sit in darkness anymore under the shadow (the fear) of death, but can now live in the light of Your resurrection power that brings new life. Thank You for this Advent time that reminds me of why You came. Amen 👆🏼🙌🏼❤️
